Microsoft Forced To Offer New Users The Chance To Change Browsers

The European Commission has ruled that Microsoft will have to begin offering its users a choice when it come to internet browsers. Microsoft announced that over the next few week it will be offering a “Web browser choice screen” that will offer users the choice of other internet browsers. This includes Safari, Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome.

Most of you reading this will probably be thinking, so what, I wouldn’t touch IE with a barge pole, no big deal. Millions of people in Europe are not quite as internet savy and will use IE as standard. It will never have even crossed their minds that there is an alternative internet browser out there. This ruling has been on the card for a while now and is probably why we have seen Google Chrome adverts everywhere.

Bill Gates Now On Twitter

To celebrate the recent launch of Microsoft’s Windows 7, Japans Burger King creates a monster burger with; yes you guessed it, seven burgers. In a further move that can only be describes as marketing genius this burger cost 777 yen and is available for 7 days, its Windows 7, get it. How do they come up with this stuff.

No I don’t want fries with that.

Microsoft Opens Its First Store

Guess what, the software giant we all love to hate has only gone an opened a shop selling, you guessed it, Microsoft shizzle. The stored opened its doors last week in a Mall (shopping centre to you and me) in Arizona and as yet Kinky Afro are yet to learn of the planned UK opening, probably because Microsoft wouldn’t give me the scraps from the kitchen let alone any information on a planned UK shop.

I haven’t been to this shop but I know a man who has and yes, you guessed it this store looks a lot like an Apple shop. Well what did you expect.
